This is my stage. On Halloween I'm playing my first festival set on the Techno Bunker at Drifted Fest, 3:45 to 4:40 PM, and I wanted to give the Bunker its own write-up, because it's the part of the festival I'm most excited about.
What the Techno Bunker is
Drifted has three stages at Strauss Square. The Mainstage is the big open-air amphitheater with the international headliners. The Bunker is the opposite: Drifted describes it as a high-impact sound rig with dynamic strobe sequences, dedicated to underground techno. Think darker, harder and more hypnotic, with the sound system doing the heavy lifting. The Mainstage is for watching. The Bunker is for dancing.

- 1:55 PM: Contest Winner
- 2:50 PM: Buddha
- 3:45 PM: Alex Kinter (that's me)
- 4:40 PM: Destro
- 5:35 PM: Aries

- 7:25 PM: Angel b2b Monstax
- 8:20 PM: Dea Magna
Sets run about 55 minutes each, back to back from 1 PM. The Contest Winner slot goes to the winner of Drifted's DJ contest, and Dea Magna closes the Bunker.
Why the Bunker matters
Every big festival lives or dies on its local scene. A stage built for local underground techno, with a proper rig, on the same day as Bart Skils and Charles B, says a lot about where Dallas is headed.
What I'm bringing
My set is driving, hypnotic techno: big low end, long builds and a few moments built to hit hard in a room with strobes. 3:45 is early, which I love. It's the point in the day when the crowd has arrived, the energy's climbing, and people are ready to go before the headliners take over. If you've only seen me behind a camera, this is your chance to see the other side of what I do.
Plan your Bunker day
- Be at the Bunker by 3:40 PM to catch my set from the first track.
- Gates open at 1 PM: Reckless Ryan opens the Bunker at 1:00, then the Contest Winner at 1:55 and Buddha at 2:50.
- Stay after my set for Destro (4:40), Aries (5:35), Metanoia (6:30), Angel b2b Monstax (7:25) and Dea Magna (8:20).
- Walk over to the Mainstage for Bart Skils (7:30 PM) and Charles B with a 20-piece orchestra (9:30 PM). Full breakdown in my Mainstage lineup post.
- Need a break from the volume? The Silent Disco has 50 DJs on headphones.

- Age: 18+ to enter, 21+ for the bar, with a physical government photo ID
- Bags: clear bags up to 12" x 12" x 6" or small clutches up to 4.5" x 6.5"
- Dress code: Drifted says costumes are not permitted
